Overall I liked it - and would recommend both to fans of the graphic novel, and non-fans. Its a good, entertaining movie. The differences from the source are glaring if you are familiar with the original, but they fit into the overall story decently enough. Billy Cruddup was perfect for Dr. Manhattan. Most of the cast was pretty good, though the makeup effects for the original Silk Spectre looked like crap on Imax. They did, however, do a good job, i thought, on turning the dead boyfriend from Gray's Anatomy into The Comedian.
The music choices were a bit much. Most were far too cliched, starting with the opening credits right thru the travel to Antarctica. But HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT LEONARD COHEN AT THE EXACT RIGHT MOMENT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FORCED DOWN OUR THROATS IT WAS FREAKING PERFECT!!!!!
I am sure I'll have more later, but for now though, sleep.
