My friends are having a party this weekend, and I've been charged with the music. Now is your chance to prove you love me more than Maud by suggesting your favorite party songs.
I'm not sure how this proves you love me more than Maud (or why you would), but it does. So, suggest away!!

Your theme ... I don't know what type of music people play at parties. An elegant dinner party, I suppose I'd play classic so there is nice background music that doesn't overwhelm the conversation. A ghetto dance party - lots of RAP and R&B. An orgy - stuff with naughty lyrics, a driving beat, or maybe some Bolero. A pool party - maybe some beach tunes and fun, upbeat stuff.

I'm looking for fun, upbeat stuff. Think Madonna and Mr. Roboto.

Hmmm. Sounds like the party denizens will be closer to my age group than Maud's. Fun 80s stuff, some more modern stuff too that is rather fun and would mix with that type of stuff. I'll scan my MP3s when I get home.
Domo arigato Mr. Roboto ... I haven't listened to that in a while.

Domo arigato indeed! It's quite disturbing how much I love that song. Not only is it quite catchy, it's didactic.

Duran Duran is good for parties, but that might be leaning too '80s. Surprisingly (or not), Patsy Cline is actually a nice party twist, especially if people are tired of the pop music. ABBA's always a wise choice.
Yeah. That's all I've got. You've been to my place. You've seen that I'm bad with the music.

You'll need multiple CDs. You might reserve one as a slower, "party is winding down, 70% of the people have left, the remaining people are trying to sober up a bit before driving home."
If some people want to dance, you might want a dance CD, too.

Soft Cell - Tainted Love
George Michael - Freedom 90 [which seems to be his response to the incident so is even more appropriate than I want your sex].
Eh - I might remove "Freedom 90". Not very party-oriented.
BTW - Cheeky has sent me multiple messages encouraging me to finish the story I ghost wrote for you. So it probably wasn't as bad as I thought, but that's usually a safe assumption since I always loathe my own writing more than others do.

I threw in the P!nk song since it was the title of your post, but perhaps you already have it.
