My paid account w/ l.j. ends in, like, 30 seconds--so, I'll use those 30 seconds to say:

I'M FREE! FREE @ LAST!!

I actually used l.j. more when I wasn't paying for it. For the past 365 days of my paid account, I've probably only used it for 15 of those days. I guess I just like things better when I'm not being charged for it.

if you do plan on leaving, i'd love to hang out with you first. i'm much more likely to come into new york than wisconsin. but hey, my friend is from there and he loves that place, so i won't make any judgements yet ;) i'm glad things are on the up, more or less.

Yes, certainly, Wisconsin does have lots of cheese, but it's really good cheese. Screw California. Anyways, I also have a good friend who lives in Wisconsin and she does have a few gay friends, so I know you'll probably be more among the minority than you were in New York, but not alone. I can't pretend to know what you're going through with your struggle about your job, and your family, but I wish for the best for you. It makes me think of the line from the song "Closing Time" by Semisonic that goes "Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end." Here's to new beginnings, and be sure to keep us all posted on the developments.
