Summary:  The first time they fought, they were eleven and stupid and too damn skinny to do any real damage, but Rick broke Shane's nose and Shane split Rick's lip anyway.

First off: you tags are cracking me UP. Really. I am giggling to myself in the dark. Shane Walsh is part bear I think Please let me quote you on that.

I like the motifs here. Violence, blood, falling and walking into a door. They're like a windmill that keeps spinning, round and round, and it really adds a nice tone to the story.

For having written this before the episode actually aired, you got a lot right. I love your darker Rick. The line about people thinking Shane's gone off the deep end, when, really, Shane's the most collected one about the whole thing. It's great, especially considering Rick was the one tonight to start the fight.

I hope you do write more Rick/Shane (platonic, though otherwise is great too) fic!
