I am still in a Mad Men happy place (though my friend who I watch the series with spent this evening railing against the 'expendible lesbian' trope, which I'd never heard of, but apparently is a real sore spot for her), but I'm about 3/4 of the way through season 2 of Six Feet Under, and I'm not sure I'll have the stamina for the whole series. Kieth is... broken. Like, they stopped writing him right. The same friend with whom I watch Mad Men lent me the series, and she promises that I'm 'in the desert' as far as the characters having any kind of peace or happiness goes and that 'it does end,' but... come ON! Claire's awesome school thing isn't going to work out either, is it? IS IT??? (Sorry, I can deal with unlikable, but I can't deal with "everything turns to shit every single time for no realistic reason other than it makes for 'good' drama.")

House?

P.S.--I just post comments for the opportunity to "confirm" I am a human.

ealdthryth and I have given up on some movie or shows when we realized we didn't care about the characters. We've walked out of plays (at intermission) when either the acting or the play itself was unappealing.

As far as stuff moving around in the store, treat it like the retail equivalent of your house. If it ain't nailed down, it is a cat toy and will migrate whether or not you are watching.... ;^)

I am still in love with Mad Men, although Don certainly went uber-weird in California whenever that was. But this season he's been getting..... sensitive. I'm wondering if he's been taken over by a pod person or something. Introspective, not sleeping with available women..... wow.
