I have been at work since 6:30 this morning and I am just now getting a chance to sit down and take a break. I tried to leave the building three different to get coffe, but kept getting called back by needy stupid clients. There are days that I really fucking hate this job.

I honestly don't know why I thought that my extended essay would be something I could plow through in a couple of hours. Because it wasn't. At all. Which isn't all that surprising since I took a 13 page paper and turned it into a 21 page paper. After possibly the worst day of traveling I have ever had in my life, I am now stuck in my house because of the snow storm raging outside. Seriously. And people always ask me why I left this godforsaken city. This right here is reason number one.

Of course the only time we manage to finish class early is the one week I don't have to be at work the next day at 6:30 in the morning.

I just caught myself talking to my kettle. I was telling it not to scream at me as it was boiling. REALLY glad I have two weeks off coming up starting next Wednesday. I don't know what's different about this semester from the fall, but I am almost at the end of my rope.

So apparently I'm very good at my job?? I found out today that multiple clients have talked to my supervisor (who is the Assistant Director of my department) to praise how well I handled their events and requests. I knew about one onsite coordinator sending out an email that mentioned me by name, but I didn't know it was a recurring thing. Which ( Read more... )
