During Quiet Time, a quick update

Four is an interesting age. And very very aggravating. On the other hand, he can get himself dressed in the morning and loves to do things for his Baby Sister. And where did those long legs come from? He is a boy indeed. And fascinated with poop, along with all his friends. preschoolers. *shakes head

4 through 7 was my favorite time. Beyond 8 they start developing a life outside the family and you gradually get pushed into the background. Except when they need a ride. Before 3-1/2 or so, they're cute but they're still babies. But kids 4 through 7 are some of the world's neatest people.

He has gotten to be a lot of fun, but he's starting to assert some independence too, and it's a matter of me learning to let go a bit and to know when to do that. And for him to realize that he really does still have to do what I say for the most part. Once we get that balance going again, it will be much more fun. :)
