If someone tells you that your story isn't working, then that doesn't mean you should just drop it. Take the idea and wrestle it until you pin it down and call it your bi- um never mind, bad analogy. Anyways, see if those people have suggestions on how to fix it and if they don't and you don't know what to do, find someone who is really good with ideas *cough* Sam *cough.* Heck, I'll read it if you want. Yes, you should never give up on an idea that you feel is good and, as I have been saying forever, NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY! You seem to throw things away when you get frusterated and that is a bad idea. There is no telling where you can take an idea even if the results you are getting out of it now arn't working.

An outside opinion can often see things that the writter can not because they are stuck with what they have already thought of and can't think outside of those contexts. So showing your work to people = good.

That's right jo! You should keep going!
