They have email, chat, RSS feed, blog feeds, twitter feeds, you can RSS your LJ to go straight to Reader, and they've just started the service called Buzz; a fully integrated fb clone.
Also, you know, Google Voice, which allows you to talk and text from your mail window in your web browser.
Only thing it doesn't do yet is automatically filter items by importance - you have to go into settings for that kind of thing.

My idea is for a system that integrates all the disparate services on my end, the user end, so that I can conveniently participate in all of the services that my friends are also using, without having to switch back and forth between a dozen different sites and applications. That being said, of course, the google wave API could end up being the best framework for this system, assuming google works out some of the kinks and bugs that wave has right now. Maybe not ideal, but it has potential.
