The same keeps happening to me! There's this local trail I've never been on that's supposed to be fun, and every damn time my mom and I make plans to hike it together, it rains for the next week (so much so that even if we decided to hike it in the rain, we couldn't because they CLOSE the trail if it rains too much; it goes past the Potomac and it gets flooded). We were meant to hike it today. It is currently raining torrents. I'm moving out in two weeks. I will never hike this trail. SIGH.

If anything the poopy weather will give you an excuse to snuggle in a nice hotel. Biking in a light shower can be fun anyway. I wouldn't go near the water though.

By "amenities" you forgot to include heart-shaped hot tub, right? I know you guys love those.

No jacuzzi tub sadly, but based on how nice it sounds and the price ($110 a night for the queen suite) it still seemed like a pretty good deal. (For reference, that is how much we usually pay for a crummy motel).
