i do think we "fundamentalist" christians need to deal with non-christians differently. Jesus clearly handled non-believers differently than believers. that said, there weren't any christians around when he was here on earth, so i'm not totally clear on some stuff. but yes, we as christians need to love first and ask questions later when dealing with non-christians.
Those strange laws are actually addressed in the Bible itself... much later, in the New Testament. And it basically says we don't need to follow them anymore. That's the short short version. :)
basically that is what the whole book of romans is about. it's also mentioned in other books of the new testament as well. I will try to get more specific passages for you later.
I know there's a couple of debates about this subject in the book of Acts between different factions of the early church. Also, Jesus talks about it in the Gospels.
One thing to remember, whenever "the law" is mentioned in the New Testament it is referring to the Old Testament Laws that were set up in books like Deuteronomy and Leviticus.
