I was SO twisted up by the first debate and the SPN premiere on the same night. And SO torn about which to watch first. Mainly because I wasn't sure which I was dreading more, watching Romney on screen for an hour and a half (hello man responsible for the end of my Watch Every Debate Rule), or watching

I fucking loved the episode, too. It felt so different, in a good way. I still have too many feelings to sort it all out because I loved it so much. I will say I think they put a little too much bronzer on ol' Jensen. Poor baby. He's beautiful without it!

Yeah, it was in the regular world stuff where Dean seemed a little tanner than I remember. Poor, freckled boy. I wish they'd just let his pretty skin be! (I know they can't because Padalecki is a tanned god and Jensen sort of has to match)

I have to watch again - I think I liked it a lot but I want to check and double check...and that is nothing to do with how bloody fantastic Jensen looked all dirty and bloody; or all bronzy and clean. Nope. I'm not that shallow.

This was definitely an ep you had to rewatch to really GET and make sense of, I think. It's been a while since I really wanted to race to rewatch an SPN ep, but even with intent, I didn't get back to it til after the weekend. It issss however a mark of a good ep when a rewatch makes you like the ep EVEN MORE! So I call that a win-win!!

Ugh, and I know, Ackles in purg with that awesome chrome desat filter? UGH, STUNNING FOR REAL. Between him and Pantene beautiful flowing locks Pada, seriously, it's not even fair anymore. They're not playing fair. ;)

Show was marvelous, wasn't it?! \o/ I don't think that I can participate in community discussions about the ep, because it feels like people haven't necessarily even seen the same episode as I did, and I tend to get all defensive about Show. And then I just want to retreat into a bubble of Show love.

Yea, I gotta say I was alittle bit taken aback when I read the other reactions. Like, I had the same reservations going in, but the ep beat them to a pulp in my eyes. What happens in the rest of the season, who knows, but the set up here, for a S8 reboot under a brand new showrunner? Really exceeded my expectations. The difference between this premiere and the finale were like NIGHT AND DAY.
