In which absolutely nothing of interest happened today and I'm still coughing a lot.

I just had a conversation with my co-worker M about the appeal of Hawaii Five-0. It went something like this.

M: "I'm so tired when I get home from work so I don't think I've managed to watch an entire episode yet."
Me: "What, how can you not stay awake for it? Alex O'Loughlin takes his shirt off all the time!"
M: *heartbroken* "I know!"

steve should always be shirtless, work things, o'lough love

LMAO How is it even possible to fall asleep while watching AOL???????

I don't know yet how or when I will be able to watch H50 next season, but hopefully Norwegian TV2 will continue to air it.

Bare O'Lough chest is pretty much my main reason for watching H50 ;)

Ahahahaha! My 80-year-old mother-in-law & I sat around complaining this past Monday night when Hawai'i 5-0 was displaced from its usual time because of tennis FFS. (She won't admit it but I think she likes it for the pretty too. Also, she doesn't think about anything she watches so the lawless/civil-liberty-bashing aspects of it don't bother her.) One of the few ways our tastes coincide is that we both like Hawai'i 5-0 and Person of Interest; no doubt it's a very good thing that she doesn't know any details about my slash obsession.... ;-)

Let's just say that H50 is not one of the shows I watch for the intelligent, intriguing plot...

Hah, I'd have to sympathize with your co-worker right now. I'm so damn tired at the end of the day that I keep falling asleep, Nook in hand, waking only when it thumps to the floor. That's funny about the shirt coming off all the time though--kind of like Shatner in ST:TOS. :-)

D and I haven't caught up on *any* of our shows and we lost a bunch when the derecho took out his TiVo and all the recorded stuff with it. He seems to have lost interest in all our old shows too, so I am scrambling to find alternate sources. Thank goodness someone gave me an Amazon gift certificate--that let me buy S1 of Person of Interest--I'd lost everything after episode 9...

NTS: Don't let your shows back up on your recorder or you will probably never get to see them. :-(

I've been doing the same lately. I hate waking up on the couch at three o'clock in the morning, come to the groggy conclusion that it's not morning and then have to go through the bothersome routine of face-washing and tooth-brushing and pyjama-hunting before I can go to bed for real :P

There are so many of my old shows I have yet to catch up on, and even more that I've given up on completely. It might be time to decide which ones are actually worth my energy...

I only have about 3 shows I watch regularly these days, but they are something I look forward to watching. Having D lose interest in them is a bit of a problem because I'm asking him to record them for me.

I don't mind when he wants to watch soccer, or Anthony Bourdain, or Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe because it lets me do what I need to do on the internet without guilt. But now I'm having to find other ways to find those three shows, and it usually means waiting for them or paying for them. :-(

I'm so far behind on some I don't mind waiting for them to come out on Netflix--but the Netflix is at his house too. :-) Truthfully, when I'm at home alone, I'm usually *trying* to write, so even getting the free version of Netflix seems like a waste of time....

Like you, it makes me re-evaluate what I really need/want to watch these days...

Welllll, I can get hold of most shows the day after they air, so if you get desperate, I'm sure we could set something up ;) (arrrrrr!)

Right now, I'm having a phase where I feel like a complete waste of space if I don't do worthwhile and productive things all the time so I've taken up knitting again as an excuse so sit around and watch shows. (You wouldn't be in need of a knitted scarf or five?)
