Baby steps...

Today was a rather different day for Cielo. He'd strayed outside of the apartment he shared with his fellow Embryon and made his way down the six flights of stairs, cat and tribbles in tow. He also decided to try on the clothes that Gale and Custo bought for him; pants, a gray sweater with an orange stripe and a large puffy coat of the same color

Duo shivered slightly, bringing his arms closer to him as he walked around the sidewalks. He only had a few sets of clothes, and unfortunately, none of them were really suited for winter weather. Spotting Cielo sitting on the steps outside one particular building, Duo trotted over, temporarily forgetting that it was so cold.

"Cielo, buddy!" He waved happily, and stopped once he was in front of him. "Good to see ya again!"

"Duo, bro~!" Cielo clapped happily when Duo stood near him, although the clapping turned into vigorous rubbing to keep his little fingers warm.

"Ja, 'sgreat to see you! 'Ow didja get to dis New York place? PINpointer?"

"If by that you mean I have no idea in hell, then yeah. Found a door in the Nexus, it came out in a port-a-potty at a park a few blcoks down." He shrugged. "I think I used that last time too...Hmmm."
His short attention span was quickly used up and he abandoned the explanation and instead plopped down nect to Cielo, ohh'ing at the sight of the cat. "Well, hi there~~!" He coo'ed to the kitty.

Naomi mewed happily at Duo and started squirming her way out of Cielo's sweater.

"Aww, she likes you!" Cielo commented with glee, glad that, for once, one of his friends wasn't looking at Naomi as an appetizer.
