Today I bought a pomelo for the first time. I don't think it's an experiment I'm going to repeat. The seeds look like rotten teeth and the fruit:peel ratio isn't satisfactory. At least it tastes inoffensive.

I bought a "sweet lemon" a few weeks ago, hoping for a mind-boggling lemon eating experience, but it mainly just looked like a lemon, and tasted like a very very bland grapefruit.

I love pomellos! So much less angry and bitter than grapefruit. I also love hacking away at the peel with a paring knife and ripping the crap out of the inner pith - very cathartic.

I like the taste of pomellos, but the peel is so thick (and expensive considering they are sold by the pound) that I find them not worth it.
