I just put a bunch of pictures I took in the snow yesterday up on my Flickr account. I need to adjust the colour balance since they're all a weird shade of blue, but I wanted to get them up nonetheless. Maybe tomorrow I'll take some better pictures of the sunrise on my way to work and other prettiness out near work.

No power at UBC meant no work for me today. I did a wee bit of work early this morning (might as well, I was awake anyway) and then walked M to work through the knee-deep snow. On the way back I took some pictures of the crazy "tops of cement trucks" that are beside Angiotech and then went to JJ Bean for hot chocolate, followed by a two-hour nap ( Read more... )

So as mentioned in my previous post, our car was stuck in the ditch at the top of the Pender driveway as of nne o'clock this morning. We ate breakfast (mmm.... waffles....) and then decided to hit the road to make sure we'd get to the ferry before it got really really doubly nasty ( Read more... )

The hallway outside my office smells like egg and shrimp pizza.  What combination of foods came together to make that smell I don't know.  And am happy to not know.

Borat was funny, but I think it was perhaps a little too played up in my mind, 'cause I didn't find it gut-wrenchingly funny. However, I did enjoy learn some exciting facts about Potassium.

And there's no such thing as too much knowledge about Potassium.
