I immediately called Carrie Lawrence. She and I were friends with Beth in high school- Carrie more so. I got voice mail.

I dunno. The audition seemed like she wasn't having fun. I think that's what Simon picked up on. Though everyone agrees she has a great voice, can she do pop?

Absolutely. She has a whole CD out of songs she wrote herself that are a little less Jazz and a little more Pop. She leans towards slower songs and a little Country tossed in, though.
