This is one marvelous mood piece..

I spent some time in a tent in the desert awhile back, and everything you described just felt so familiar.

I could taste the dust, feel the dry air, see the desert's creatures far too close for comfort.

and the little snippets of intimacy between Sam and dean

This was just gorgeous. The boys said so much while saying so little, and the desert was perfect. I've been pining for the desert for months now as I gear up for my AZ trip, and this just gave me a little fix to make it bearable. I know I'll be thinking of this story as I drive through the desert at night in a few weeks.
