Probably the best thing about reading Joe Hill's novels are the offhand references to his father's books, like the mention of Midworld and Derry in NOS4A2, or Frannie Goldsmith in The Fireman (there's probably more I missed) . Like picking up a comfortable fic canon that references a bunch of other fic.

Funny that you are mentioning this now. :) I'm in the middle of NOS4A2 where the car takes control and I was thinking, "Christine!" lol

Ooh! I didn't even catch that reference!
I'm a little farther along in the book, but not finished yet so I'll have to keep my eyes open for more. :)

It is good to be seen too. I've been around, just RL got busy and I didn't have the mental energy to post, or was convinced my forays into finish carpentry and drywall hanging were not interesting enough to post about. I still enjoys keeping tabs on what everybody has been up to though. Glad to see you are still writing. :)
