Lately I have found myself increasingly discontent with the American higher education system. While for at least the past 6 1/2 years, I have felt strongly that grades K-12 have been generally jokes, the beginning of college gave me hope for our country. As time passes, however, I become more ashamed of this country.

yeah, i know i'm stupid. and uneducated, but i guess you can't blame me, you gotta blame the system.

i do totally blame the system. i'm uneducated and unmotivated, but that's all part of our damn culture...

also, kitsch is a german term describing art. it is used when describing really tacky, superficial art (not just paintings, but literature and music as well) as beautiful. this is usually done in an attempt to express your own apparent "depth," when in fact it is indicative of an unlearned taste.

...or at least that's how i understand it...
