I'm so relieved I don't have to go to the store today. I have lots of library books due soon that I need to read, an article to write, practicing to do, phone calls to make, etc

I think I'll go anorexic for Lent. I'll lose weight and give up eating!

No! I hope you'll be more sensible. How about eating an egg every other day for breakfast, eat a meal-replacement bar (Luna, Pria, etc.) for lunch, and a balanced dinner? Can you tolerate a short walk? I had lunch with a woman yesterday. She's 70, has lots of pains, and was saying that she had been lying around feeling sorry for herself and wasn't planning on going to the AM meeting until I called her Thursday and asked if she was attending and could we have lunch afterwards. After lunch, she said she felt so much better. Just getting out and hearing an inspiring presentation and having lunch with me took her mind off the pain and troubles. She's agonizing over whether to retire from piano teaching completely at the end of this academic year. And it didn't hurt that it was so warm and sunny!

Glad to hear about the new students. Sounds like things are starting to take off. Good luck with Mary Kay as well. I hate sales and I don't wear make-up, so all I can do is offer good thoughts from a far.

Funny (to me at least) aside: It took me several minutes to figure out what you mean by MK, because that's how I abbreviate Michelle Kwan, which, as you can imagine, I do a lot these days. Then I remembered your last post....

Having second thoughts about MK. Ugh. See today's post (in a few min.). BTW, skin care is their main product. So even if you don't wear much or any color, you wash your face and moisturize, right? :)

How's the writing coming? Is the light at the end of the tunnel getting brighter?! I'm pulling for you!
