Progress yesterday, but no job yet. I called three funeral homes (2 small, one huge) and got on their roster of singers. That's it, just a phone call. No interview, no audition, no questions. Ok, it's not that bad yet. I woke up at 4AM and couldn't get back to sleep (this time no mosquitoes involved) so I got up a little after 5 and did some quiet work. Last night I was terrorized by a mosquito from 11PM-2:30AM. I'm pretty sure I did not sleep that whole time. By 2:30 I must have been exhausted and went to sleep anyway. The recital went pretty well. Sunday I was all bummed because the Mozart didn't go as well as it should have. But the second half went quite well so I shouldn't beat myself up. Main thing is I passed so now I can move on with my life. Thank god!!! So all that's left to do as far as the University is concerned is turn in the remaining paperwork ( Read more... )

Yesterday I performed my program twice. First at the nursing home in the afternoon and then for my teacher in the recital hall in the evening. The piano has a gremlin. This morning as I was leaving the house, the neighbor's girl boxer came out of nowhere. She's a nice dog, but quite an escape artist!
