Waving At Strangers & EVHS

Apr 06, 2005 21:29

So below is a pretty long entry of my Tuesday night and Wednesday with the fantastic boys of Waving at Strangers. It's complete with photographs and everything!

So, I was in class on Tuesday and my cell goes off and I scrambled to turn it off, but I glanced at the number and knew it was Brian callling me. Thank goodness my history teacher is a bit old (but such an awesome lady) didn't hear it and I did not get my phone taken away. So after class I called Brian back and arranged for everything. Instead of eating dinner on Wed. night, the boys were coming Tues. night! :-D I went home and decided to bake the frozen apple pie that I had sitting in my freezer. At first I was being a bit stupid and took the pie out of the pie tin. But then I realized that the pie would be a disaster, so I put it back in the pie tin and the pie ended up being pretty delicious! Boys came around 7ish and dug into the chips and salsa. We sat around talking for a bit and just relaxing. My mom put the steaks on the BBQ and we had a huge feast of steak (chicken for me), steamed veggies, cheesey toast and rice. Some of the random topics that happened during dinner were:
  • Ian's eating disorders (oh no!)
  • Dustin and his fascination with chips
  • Dustin being homeschooled and wearing blue jean shorts
  • Clint's LJ entry about Ian
  • Brian asking what a baugette was (maybe it's a CA thing?)
  • Marco polo as an olympic sport for Dustin because he can hold his breath for a long time
  • Clint has the same birthday as my brother!

My mom loves Clint because he ate everything from the steak. He even took the pieces that Ian didn't want and ate them. Clint and Dustin fought over Jason's piece of steak that he didn't want... but they ended up splitting that piece in half.

Dinner! A nice home cooked meal for the boys.

Then we played Hoopla which is from the makers of Cranium. We got some laughs from that game... I don't think I've laughed that hard since Christmas when I was with my relatives. Some memorable points in the game:
  • Clint and I connected when I said The People's Car and he knew it was the VW Beattle
  • Jason's sound effects and acting skills when he had to act out mosh pit

  • Ian couldn't draw a goalie to save his life. :-P He drew the puck as a big square thing and we thought the net was a calendar.

  • Dustin did a great impression of a dinosaur. He bit Jason! Jason said Dustin bit him hard. lol.

  • At the end, Brian was just pulling out random cards for Dustin to act out... this was one of them. Let's just say... no one got what Dustin was.

Supposedly, dear Dustin is a slinky. He just kinda plopped on to the floor and we were like... huh?

The lovely boys of W@S me and my brother.

Wednesday
W@S was on campus at 10ish and I was on my break, so I just headed down to the bus stop and walked the boys over to the office to get their visitor passes. Ian could pass as a high school student. :-) I skipped Spanish to hang out with the boys in the RV. I sat there... the couch is very comfy. I told Clint that I wanted to be a Rubik's cube for Halloween. Clint told me that one time he was a 1/2 man 1/2 woman for Halloween one year and his mom made him a little cute outfit. He shaved one leg and a couple days later, he said it was horrible. lol. Then the boys played at lunch. I think they got a better turnout this time, because people were sitting on the steps and just listening to them play. The boys made some new fans! The guys took showers in the boys locker room again and they headed off to LA. :-( I miss them so much already! Brian said that they will be back up in this area in a couple of weeks and my mom says we can all go out for some very good Chinese food. BRIAN, CLINT, JASON, IAN & DUSTIN... take my mom's offer! We'll feed ya well!
