...So Andrea and I are set to get a place together at the end of next month. She's wanted me to share my thoughts on the matter, so here they are

I know you're not really asking for advice... but I'm going to say something anyway (like it's ever stopped me before right? :D).
anxiety over things falling apart before the move, not being able to afford anything, and what might happen if Andrea' parents found out about me.If you weren't nervous about all of this, I'd probably be a little worried. This change is big, but it's good. So of course you're still going to be nervous. I want to say Good Luck to both of you! I agree with the above post and what you say. Life is about taking chances and experiencing it. You live and learn as they say. I feel its a mark of growning up when you "like to try to make it on your own terms" and I hope both of your families recongnize that. Now parents will always worry about you. Even my mom worries and I'm 33. She would still worry if I was married and had kids. Thats just how they are. But don't let that deter you. You still need to be you and keep doing what you feel is right. Again Good luck!! and pray! oh word of advice! Read all contracts, esp when renting a place and other stuff. You never know what you just agreed to and then find out you won't get your deposit back...
