Actually, if you head upstream from the Seven Sacred Pools, there's a pretty cool hike up to a tall waterfall. I can't remember for sure, but I think it's 3 miles.

I'm pretty sure that's the Pipiwai Trail to really tall Waimoku Falls. The trailhead is just a tick past the Oheo Gulch on the road. It's a 4-mile round-trip hike and, as I said in the entry, though I was looking forward to it, we did not have time for such a thing on a 1-day tour. It's the prime reason I'll be doing the Road to Hana again, on a 2-day version, and also to see and experience a good half-dozen other sights and adventures I've learned of since returning from Maui. In my best Arnold voice, "I'll be back."
