A story
Wow was I surprised with Venice. Finally an Italian city that lives up to its romanticized ‘vacation-spot advertising’-grazie!! The water was blue and refreshing, the buildings were pastel, scenic, and beautiful. As soon as we walked out of the train station we were met by the majesty of the canals:
Molto lieto Gondola!
Carnival was starting and everyone was masquerading around:
We walked to St. Marco’s Square to feed the pigeons. My biggest worry was the bird flu (although it is only found in chickens and swans so far?). I freaked out while Caitlin enjoyed the chaos of these flying rats.
I later befriended the nasty disease ridden poop flinging claw scratching beasts. Oh well!
We then walked around, had a jolly ol’ time, and went Salsa dancing that night! The next day we went to the famous Glass museum where I got lost in an ancient mirror.
We then Waltzed around, saw the parade, and got lost in the life of the city.
It was a beautiful time for a breath taking city.
Ti amo. ArrivederLa Venezia!
