[ as the feed turns on, katsuya just stares blankly in silence for a while not sure how to even begin. he's not exactly nervous, but he does want very much to make a good impression. perhaps a bit too much so. it doesn't help that he's approaching the end of his fourth week, either, making his thoughts rather jumbled and preoccupied on... things he ( Read more... )

[as the former leader of an organized crime group, N approves of this idea.]

While I am not opposed to a peace-keeping group, I think it would be a bit daunting to run with the few people who seem interested so far. Would there be a militia as well? And what about laws and the governing body? All of those things would require more disposable income on our parts, which, without jobs, would be difficult to acquire...

[ his endorsement is truly touching. ]

Y, yes, those are all very valid concerns. [ he adjusts his tie a bit uncomfortably. ] I've thought about a militia as well, but we probably lack the manpower for both organizations to exist at the present time. As far as law is concerned... [ pause. ] I suppose people might have to come together to form some kind of government at some point, ideally. [ though how that would work is even further beyond him. ] A, at this point, we're simply considering all of these... um... possibilities.

[ though his enthusiasm is clearly deflated quite a bit. ]

Yes, I must agree, I think a militia might be too ambitious of an endeavor at this point. I am afraid I cannot offer much input in regards to how to construct a governing body other than electing someone most suited for the position.

I think for the time being, until funding and manpower are both more readily available, a community service group of sorts might be the best way to get an organization like this started. Like a non-profit police organization, if you will. I understand we do not have telephones, but if the head of the organization were to take distress messages on their communication device and dispatch people based on said calls, I think we could perhaps get somewhere.

Of course, this is an oversimplified idea, but I am sure with some fine-tuning it can inspire you to create something more efficient.

I'm not sure Zodion is quite ready for politics. [ or that it ever will be. ] But without law to enforce, law enforcement does lose quite a bit of its bite. Yet it would be unfair to unilaterally impose laws... I suppose in this case we simply have to do what we can to help people. [ sigh. ]

I suppose this would be something like that. Though people do still need to be compensated somehow for their time and effort, there clearly does need to be something in place for better to turn to in times of crisis. [ nod. ] That makes a lot of sense. It's simple, but quite helpful. May I ask your name?

That certainly sounds like the case. For the most part, everyone seems to be good about being civil to one-another, so I imagine all that will be necessary will be keeping the peace.

I am glad I am able to be of help to you. My name is N.

Usually the majority of people are civil... it's the exceptions that are the problem. [ a shake of the head. ] Even now, I'm sure there are at least a few troublemakers around... it's just a question of seeing what they might do in the future.

It's a pleasure to meet you, N.

That has been my experience as well. At the very least, being able to stop potential trouble-makers from acting or carrying out their devious wishes is a good place to start. I am sure that, given enough time and attention, this organization will grow into something truly commendable.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Katsuya.

As long as it can do at least a little good, that's enough for me.
