[The young lady who appears on the screen is a new arrival! She looks fairly composed; after a glance at something on her own screen (a recording indicator, perhaps), she smiles warmly. When she speaks, her voice is light, but there's a slight trace of uneasiness.]Uh-oh, am I recording? I thought I might be able to make a phone call, but it looks ( Read more... )

Hello Tsubasa. Welcome to Zodion. Unfortunately, the Twelve will most likely not answer your questions personally, but the inhabitants are much kinder and will do whatever they can to help you. If you have any other questions, do feel free to ask.

Thank you very much! When you say "inhabitants," are you referring to native--or at least voluntary--inhabitants, or people in situations similar to myself?

Actually, I have found that the voluntary inhabitants can be quite nice depending upon who you talk to, but your best bet would be to approach people in our situation. I find that they are the most understanding and willing to be of assistance.

That's logical! Is there a way to tell by looking who's here on purpose, and who isn't?

The easiest way to tell is if a citizen has a visible marking on their person-- a sign of the western zodiac. These tattoos are definitive proof that the person is, like us, a captive of the Twelve. However, not everyone's tattoos are visible, so that is something worth noting. Personally, I find that the natives do not look traditionally human, so for the most part it's rather easy to tell who is who.

But it seems like some of the "chosen ones" like us don't look traditionally human, either.

Do you really think so? The humans in my world look like all of the ones I have seen thus far. Are they different where you are from?

Well, for the most part, everyone I've met looks human, aside from the occasional unorthodox hair color. But I did see a young man with cat ears, which isn't a feature humans tend to have back home.

Ah, yes. Admittedly, those sorts of features were not completely unheard of where I am from, but they were usually costumes as far as I know. I cannot speak for the hair colors since no one's seems amiss to me.

There are some parts of the country where I might be able to see people looking just as the ones here do, but they'd only be playing at it, I'm afraid! Our coloring is all quite tame, if I have to admit it.

Is that so? I suppose the same can be said of my world so I shouldn't be all that surprised. Those sorts of people are called cosplayers, are they not? We also had those. It's a shame about your hair, however. I personally think yours is a rather lovely color but there's nothing wrong with a bit more variety.

Why, thank you! That's how I feel, too.

It's always interesting to me to think about the many different people in the world. Everything from our appearances to our personalities are so vastly different... I often wonder if this is the case in all worlds or if there exists a place where everyone is uniform.

That's quite an interesting thought! Attempts to enforce uniformity from above have rarely worked out in the history of my own world, but perhaps a place where the inhabitants had some kind of inborn predisposition toward it...
