I would caution one against taking advantage of the fact the gods here want us alive since they have proven themselves to be fickle at times. Life is such a precious thing, I feel as though an afterlife would cheapen it somewhat... If nothingness awaits after death, that would be fine with me.

There's no point in dying if you're just going to come right back. You can't have the same exact day twice, the same meal, the same conversation down to every bit-- it just isn't possible. Now, if that's different here, I'll be pretty bored.

[that's interesting though. this man has a point.]
As far as I know, such a thing should not be different here. I have seen beings living out what I'm sure others would call their second or third lives, and I would be inclined to agree with you. Their existence is much different than what it used to be. In that case, I should say that a second or third afterlife does not cheapen life itself, but rather, the prospect of repeating the events in one's life down to the letter does.

See, that's exactly it. You shouldn't get the opportunity in the first place. If the 'gods' here make that any easier well-- what's the point? You're going t'have people fuckin' killing each other left and right, and for what? A quick fix-up?
Heh. Like that'd be any better than one death in the first place.
