The number of bags he's carrying with his purchases are set down, save for one, which he hangs on to as he makes his way over. Why, yes, he was sure to pick up several apples, carrots, and celery for the horse.]
Hey. [glances to Homare, still a few feet from the animal. They tend to fear vampires at home, so he's a little cautious in getting too close too soon, not sure how it might react.
A beat or two, before he realizes-] ...I didn't get your name, when we spoke. I'm Zero.

Ah- [Almost as expected, the horse does shuffle a bit nervously with Zero's appearance. It's mildly upsetting, although nothing that surprises him. He knows he's agitated the ones at home, in the past; Lily is just an exception, since he helped raise her over four years.
He approaches slowly, outstretched arm bearing an apple.]
Hey, it's okay. I won't hurt you... [speaks more calmly, now, smiling a little when the horse finally comes forward to sniff at, then take the apple. He reaches out with his other hand to gently pet its snout, glancing to Homare again.]
Where did you say you found her?

That last question does make him feel a little sheepish, though. More than he's already felt, lately. 」 I-I borrowed her from one of the locals.

[It's a little strange, to say the least. Even just the local's approval. It sounds as if the individual is far too trusting, and maybe stupidly naive, to simply allow their horse to be borrowed by a stranger... Unless maybe Homare offered money, he supposes.
He's about to speak again, when the horse begins sniffing, then chewing at some of his hair.]
H-hey! [%#!@jdfg DX swipes his free hand at her to shoo her off, although it's clear he's almost more amused, in a way.] Cut it out! I brought you food, didn't I?

He ruffles his hair a bit.] No, it's okay. I'm fine.
[This horse, though. . . He sighs, taking out a stalk of celery in hopes it'll get her to stop bothering Homare, then holds the bag out for him.]
Here, take it. You should have more luck keeping her in check with these.

As for the horse, though. . .] Just don't let her get the better of you.
[Gives a sharp tug on the reins, drawing the horse's snout from the bag.] Don't be afraid to discipline her a little when she gets rowdy. She needs to be shown that you're in control, and will only get her treats when she's well-behaved.
Fortunately she's a friendly one, so I don't imagine you'll have too much of a problem getting her to listen to you, for however long you have her for. You just need to be willing to try and work with her.
