[ serph didn't waste any time wandering around; the priority at hand is to get as much information about this place as possible in order for him to draw a suitable conclusion. at the least, it was something to occupy his time with.
serph pauses a little in his steps, eyebrows furrowing slightly in thought - before he raises one hand to type. ]

he looks confused, before he reaches out to the animal, giving it a light push.
hello bite to the hand. ]

Don't just push it! Look at what you're doing-- you're scaring it!

it doesn't seem very scared ....... anyway, he's got the hand guard on, so it's not like it hurts. hm. ]

[ he ... motions for it to leave with his other (free and UNBITTEN) hand. ]
Be on your way.

...It will leave when it's ready. Perhaps it likes you for some reason? Did you ever consider that?

[ serph lowers his hand back again, looking down at the animal without speaking. he should probably extricate its teeth from his hand guard sometime. ]
What is the approximate duration of time before it will leave?
[ 'like' .....? ]
[ serph looks at the screen again, lips twisting slightly into a frown. ]

[N is surprisingly unmiffed. idk a good word for like not miffed or like not tiffed or being like YEP. unironically so i'm making unmiffed a thing now.]
To like something or someone is to have a particular fondness for it. That animal is especially fond of you and does not want to be apart from you or he feels he may become sad. That is what it means to like something.

[ serph's frown deepens slightly, but it's not out of anger -- more like confusion. he can only carry out such acts if the animal extricated its teeth from his hand and freed up his limbs so that he could move about freely, and thus perform the action of bringing the animal into his assigned living quarters. ]
It is not 'devouring'?

[HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S GOING TO REACH INTO HIS SCREEN AND MANHANDLE THE OTHER DUDE???????]
You do not devour small animals-- or large animals, or any other animals! They are living creatures and should be loved, respected and cherished!

It has attempted to devour me, starting from my hand. Is it not the situation?

Ah, no. That is simply how some animals choose to show their affection. Like humans, they can be complex and finicky in their ways.
[a tiger could be mauling him and N would be like aww it's so cute it wants to play with me!!!]
