Dear Yuletide Author,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for signing up and for being my author. This is my first Yuletide, and I'm tremendously excited. I'm excited about my assignment, and I can't wait to see what you'll do--I'm already thrilled, and I have no idea what you're up to at all! So, rest assured, whatever you decide to do, I will love it.
I guess my general preference these days is for the light and the fluffy. Although--I read angst and sadness as well, so I'm kind of all over the map in genre. Gen, smut, squishy or angsty--I'll read it all. Some of my favorite fic kinks are hurt/comfort, and apparent betrayal (which sometimes goes hand-in-hand with the hurt and the comfort), and I am a huge sucker for family moments. HUGE. They make me all squishy inside. However, on that note: the one thing I really can't handle in fic is incest, so PLEASE don't include any. It throws me out of a fic so much that I can't get back in. Otherwise, I'm pretty easy-going. I am sure I will love whatever you come out with.
So, down to the specifics:
Request One: Young Justice, Tim and Cissie.
If this is the request that works best for you--hee! Have a look at my header! It matches lady_sarai's, who is my buddy in an epic crackfic that we are working on, starring these two as romantic leads. ;-) I would love to see something with them as a pairing, but if that doesn't work for you, I love them as friends, too. They are just *fun,* and I would love anything with the two of them together.
Request Two: Batman TAS, Dick and Bruce
PLEASE, no slash for these two. I see them as family--parent and child, so slashing them kind of makes me cross my eyes. And--as I said--I am a sucker for family stuff, so any kind of moment where Bruce/Batman is being a dad to Dick/Robin would probably make me squee massively in pitches that would only be heard by dogs, dolphins, and certain whales.
Request Three: Robin McKinley's Damar Series, Aerin and Luthe
Honestly, ANYTHING with these two. Possibly from the days after she defeats Agsded and is traveling with Luthe back to Damar, or when she goes back to him after Tor, or... Oh, Heck. You pick your favorite way to write about them, and show me, because I love them SO, and I'm curious about what you would do with them.
Request Four: Tamora Pierce's Tortall Books, Aly and George.
Did I mention I'm a sucker for family stuff? A father-daughter moment would be awesome. I would love to see something that takes place after Trickster's Queen, when they are both the head spies of their own countries and have to meet in secret. I think their parent-child dynamic is so cool, it would be great if someone would play with it.
