Do you think she should have aborted it? Or that Palin should shunned or disowned her daughter?

The teen can't help that her mom is famous, and the mom can't help that her daughter isn't perfect. Can we get back to talking about the issues nao?

So you are for "Abstinence Only" education?

See, the difference with choice people, is that we feel the daughter should have a choice. Palin has made it clear that even if her daughter was raped, she shouldn't have a choice. That is what she feels the law should be.

If a democrat was to issue that statement, the conservatives would say they were promoting teen sex. For those of us who find "Abstinence Only" stupid, having this candidate promoting the joys of it is going to be annoying. Let's give her a national soapbox to spread her agenda further!

It's not like the mother is going to say "well, perhaps my stance of "Abstinence Only" should be adjusted, and other kinds of sex education should get federal funding".

Whether her teenage daughter gets pregnant neither proves nor disproves the validity of abstinence-only education. Surely you can see that. I oppose abstinence only education, but I would never use an isolated case of a politicians daughter as some kind of validation of my point of view ( ... )

You seriously suspect this child had easy access to birth control, and made an informed decision about which method to use?

I think a lot of people change their opinions on tons of things once they have had personal experience. After personal experience, they sometimes feel they were being a little idealistic and naive.
