Katie was honored by TownCats.org as their "Donor of the Year" at their big BBQ and open house today.

I am more proud than ever of my crazy cat girl.

This is the album of her touring the facility and playing with 80 cats.

that's heartwarming.
We wind up with a bunch of pets- some that die and some that don't. our house is the alternative to Animal control.
some have been dumped- others given- but we help where we can.
i'm glad she was taken to the shelter and that she's learned about why we cry.

I still question the wisdom of taking her, but it's probably my general reaction to the animal control facility. (I start sounding rabid and making statements like "the building looks like a pretty mall so you loose touch with the reality that ITS A KILLING MACHINE!!!") I hate the horrible sinking feeling when one leaves, knowing you are leaving all those animals behind ( ... )
