When I was sitting in E.R. I didn't want this woman's help with the forms and stuff. She had 2 garbage cans for barf buckets, and looked like she had the WORST case of the stomach flu. Totally hellish

Oh yes carrying around your own barf bags are so much fun. Not!
I forgot your hubbie gets the migraines too. I agree it is pretty darn hard to live with, until I meet someone with fibro, then I think I have it lucky. Many people have many things know one knows what is going on with them. That is why extra patience is needed for all. You never know what their day has been like or how many spoons they do not have left.
earlier this week I only got 6 hours of sleep one night. Most people go "so what" but I was wondering how much of a time bomb I was that day. (was that Wednesday and Thursday was dicey? I want to say Tues into Wed). Let's just say I hit the salt so no accidents happened, but I can't count on that too often....
I have been a victem of medical discrimination because you can't see my contindition. I have severe asthma. Or should I say "had", it is under control now. But in college, it was way OUT of control. I used a rescue inhaler a week. I went to the ER once and had a 47% oxygen level. But, on an average day unless I was wheezing in your ear you didn't know I had asthma. My doctor gave me a handicapped parking tag for the winter in Michigan. I had started to miss class because I couldn't walk across campus in the cold and snow. I don't have one any more because I don't need it (not only because I no longer live where it gets that cold, but also because I have effectively managed my disease). When I had it, though, I use to get yelled at in parking lots. I got a ticket from campus police once. My tag was perfectly valid and not expired but she insisted that I didn't need it and gave me the ticket. My mommy had a few choice words for the campus police during that time. I never did have to pay that ticket

At what point do we pass out from lack of O2? 47% seems that would be it!
I never understood breathing problems until the big sur fires and for the first time my lungs hurt. I can't imagine people with asthma having to deal with that smoke crap. Let alone breathing problems all the time. My heart goes out to you.
