If I read a blog on another site, eg. wordpress or blogspot, how can I add a feed of some kind to make their entries copy onto my Live Journal friends page?

I'm pretty sure there's a way to do this :-S

I have drastically low levels of computer literacy compared to my friends who have a tendancy to be software engineers...

As far as I know the only way is for them to install a plug-in and set it up so it specifically crossposts to your LJ. A bit stupid really as it'd be quite cool to do that without all that fiddling.

You need to set up a syndicated feed, the instructions for doing so are here:
