Gonna break the mould here. This is not Spuffy, or Wilah, this is not even Whedon related. Oh wait hang on - Joss Whedon loved Veronica Mars and had a cameo in one of the episodes, so maybe a little - but anyway - Veronica Mars - a drastically underrated show.

I watched and *loved* the first season of VM - uncommonly smart stuff for American network TV.

Then I somehow never got around to the other seasons, which may have been stupid of me. On the other hand, given that it was American network TV, maybe I just never had to watch it get steadily more rubbish - were the later seasons any good?

Yes! S2 not quite as good as S1, and S3 not quite as good as S2, but still worth watching, I would say. I enjoyed them. Only a very slight downward slope due to the circumstances and overarching story plots not being quite as good, but episode by episode-wise, top notch writing.
