Summary: When his partner Uriel, betrays him, Federal Agent Castiel Novak is saved from becoming a ritual sacrifice by brothers Dean and Sam Winchester. Discovering the world of the supernatural and learning about werewolves, wendigoes, vampires and things that go bump in the night also leads to learning more about Dean and the strange life he and his brother lead. The more he learns, the more Castiel finds himself drawn into Dean’s world and toward Dean himself.
Until Uriel wants to complete the ritual he started.

In particular I really love Cas' expression in the one where he's looking in the mirror and the detail of the backgroudn of Cas' apartment in the other drawing. If you look closely you can see the picture of Gabriel and Cas that I mention and also an angel statue which I think is just perfect. I'm so happy with it.

Sweet Jesus have mercy I'm never posting another long fic on LJ again. I had to fight with FIVE of the SIX posts for being "TOO LARGE" even though they were under the character count - which is why there's sometimes a link back to the master and sometimes not. There's ALWAYS a link to the next chapter. but have mercy. NEVER AGAIN.
Tthis story was a long time in the making. I started it over a year ago and just... took a while to get it done.
