Thank you! I feel like LJ and Tumblr are places where people GET It and UNDERSTAND and are SIMILAR. It's so great to not have to always explain!

Squee weekend was AWESOME because I felt like it was socially acceptable to be part of the group and then be quiet for a long or short time and just.. show up and participate but also it was just... a really welcoming environment. I was tryign to explain it to non-fandom friends and they just didn't get how easy it was to just be myself and not feel like I had to be 'on' or 'working'.

Plus we had some deeply moving and intellectual discussions. on porn.
