i have my lj set up to automatically post friends only so that if i do say anything silly and drunken its not public. cant remember how i did it tho.. you have to type in some config somewhere i think..

Don't worry. You're not. I'm just paranoid. But I've a tendancy to say things I shouldn't. At least here I can get away with it without risking a brain heamorage or unemployment.
