Awww my heart!! <3 <3 <3 There's something so sweet and like, wholesome in a comfort-food kind of way about these two in this AU especially? They're so good and so strong in each other and the age-flip is so fun. I think maybe part of it is because it so beautifully illustrates that despite any age difference (and the things they _like_ about the age difference hehe) they're really partners and equals at the end of the day. <3

Thank you, beautiful. I'm glad you liked it. When I started the Old Guard au, I knew I wanted Leon to be the oldest and Frank the youngest but I hadn't realized how well it would work for these two. And I love Reese being so confident and strong in his faith, knowing that he wouldn't be losing anything but the opinions of people he doesn't care about. It really works for his character, and I think really echoes the purpose he found in Harold's cause in the show vs his work for the CIA. <3

Thank you darling, I do like the idea that Reese and Ben are going to end up starting a quiet revolution in the Cassiline order. (I have no objection to adults taking vows of chastity but I don't like the way they force it on children in the book. I mean it makes sense in the larger universe but still.)

I also love how sweet they are. Harold fretting because he doesn't want Reese to be punished for loving him and Reese so secure in his devotion to Harold and Cassiel that he's sure it would be worth it.

I find it hard to believe you saw Petruchio in that skirt and thought "Yeah, this man is the top in all his relationships." I have always seen him as at least a little pansexual. Petruchio strikes me as someone willing to try a lot of things at least once to see if he likes them. Discovering Kate is willing to give him everything he needs and wants just makes him love her more.

I have to agree they are not your typical het couple. Thinking about it, I am now wondering if Kate might not be some version of demi? She never reacts well to any romantic/sexual interest in her until she meets Petruchio and it takes her a while to warm up to him.
