Rumor has it that someone committed suicide by jumping in front of a subway train at Spadina station early yesterday morning. I was at Spadina station last night and today actually. Creepy. You know, I was on the subway from 9:50-10:30 for what usually is a 10 minute trip because of this supposed accident. I was supposed to get off at Spadina (for class), but I was so frustrated by the time we got to St. George that I just got off and walked. Plus, I didn't want to see the remains of whatever this accident was! I heard this delay was much longer than usual (and I felt like it was too...usually delays are like 10 mins max).

So that's weird, suicide huh...I heard that subway drivers get massive time off with pay after they witness that. I also don't know what I'd do if I was there when that happened (and if I'd left at my usual time instead of later, I very well could have been there...scary).

Apparently there are a lot more "jumping" incidents than we think. A lot don't actually die though because of timing or where they land or something.

Also I was reading something the other day about reporting on homicide vs. reporting on suicide, and I can't remember a damn thing about the article. I should find it again, it was interesting.
