I was going to say the same thing. But they're not very smart to listen to when you've been in the car for 7 hours, since midnight. 'Cause Iron & Wine is so mellow it makes me all *zzzzzzzz* which is no good when I'm driving.

Teh Tom is an Iron & Wine obsessive of some kind, but it's hard to keep track because he'll basically listen to anything PitchforkMedia-approved.

It's not that it's bad, it's that it alternately irritates and amuses me that he bitches about things being "overproduced" - that is, they have production values. I'm like, shut up honey, you were never a music major.

This sounds like I'm picking on I&W or on my boyfriend, but not really either, I just mean to say I know I listen to them sometimes but they fade into the slight drone of the many many indie bands I listen to out of someone else's volition.
