I wish. Apparently that is my physiological response to praise. That, and smiling so much my facial muscles are starting to hurt. Me too, it makes it easier to sleep when I have fewer things running around in my head. Hopefully I'll get my act together and actually finish the FitI post ep I started oh so long ago.

For a first published piece, you've done very, very well!

This fic is a nice walk down memory lane. I particularly liked that you named the presents opened in 'Man in the Fallout Shelter'. You gave her gifts that would have fit her 15 year old self well, but more than that, you tied that episode to 'Man in the Morgue' with the gifted earrings. Backstory! How we love it! ;)

Finally, her introspection about Booth was subtly but nicely done. He's made such a difference in her life and it's nice to see her acknowledging that, even if not to him directly.

Very well done! And yes, you should definitely write that FitI fic... when you can. And if you ever want a beta to run through your stuff for you, I've got one that I could highly recommend... :D

*blushes, and grins* Thank you so much! And it was unbetaed too (I'm amazed that there isn't a typo in there somewhere...).

Backstory is fun! Besides, they didn't give us the actual gifts, so I took what we see of them from Man in the Fallout Shelter, and constructed my own presents, to fit inside the boxes shown.

Well, she's taking baby steps. Once she realizes all that he's done in her life, she can get round to acknowledging it to him directly.

Thank you once again! It's partially written... it just needs research (need to get all my facts straight for head injuries), and time to write more. A beta would probably be a good thing, and I think I can guess who. :D
