Rest in peace, Jean Charles de Menezes
Sorry, I just have to trouble you a bit more with politics. And this time I'm going to hit hard, so if you're looking for just fun-fun text without any brains, skip this one.
Last friday a Brazilian named Jean Charles de Menezes, 27, was murdered in the subway of London by police. The police stated that it was an unfortunate event but that it really is the fault of those nasty terrorists and policeman responsible actually did a good thing. The news in Finland stated that Britannia will continue it's shoot-to-kill policy with the terrorist-hunt.
Are you fucking idiots there in London just because you got hit by a couple of suicidebombers? I mean I understand that it is hard to deal with the terrorista, but killing innocent people is wrong and should NEVER be tolerated. That's exactly the same thing the terrorists are doing and you hate them because of that. How is it different when a policeman kills an innocent, when compared to a muslim killing an innocent? You have brains, don't forget to turn those on after a panic. The thing you fail to realize is that you're acting just like Osama Bin Laden wants. And did you even notice that Egypt got hit by bombers as well, with far more casualities than in London? But it really doesn't matter that much because they look like muslims themselves and it's not your problem if they die, right? Would it be OK if an Egyptian Policeman would kill you because they would think you're a terrorist, to protect that land and it's inhabitants?
I always thought that you were somewhat smarter people than the Yankees, who elect Arnold as an governor just because they like Terminator movies and the stupidiest man alive as a president. You can't become a good politician just by being elected, you need brains in that job as well. Or what do you think, Mr. Bush? Hmh, I might be wrong as well.
The reason why I'm posting this is not to provoke you to hate me. If you get pissed off just because some Finnish jerk writes his opinion to his own livejournal, you should look in the mirror. I'm just trying to make atleast someone out there to realize how fastly this world is going straight to hell. And I'm not talking about the terrorists. I'm talking about the effects of terrorism.
An Yankee politician, apparently as idiot as the rest there, suggested that they should attack the most holy place of the muslims, the Mekka, if The Great Glorious America gets attacked by terrorists (yes, i know, attacked by nuclear weapons. it doesn't matter). I just don't understand the thinking behind that one. Gee, does he think that it will calm those terrorists, attacking their lifes the same way they attack you? Just think about it. Why do you think they would say "sorry" and end the hate-circle when you attact their own hearts? They hate you as much as you hate them. And that is because of the war in Irak and Afganistan and you're an idiot if you don't realize that. War in Irak has killed more innocent civilian muslims than the terrorists have killed in the history of mankind.
Muslims aren't terrorists, goddamnit. And it's wrong to shoot someone just because you assume that he might be a terrorist. Jean Charles de Menezes would be alive if all of you, especially the police and the politicians responsible, would stop to think things over and would stop spreading the panic.
I really am afraid and you should be as well. Finland has a big event coming within a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure does the terrorist-bastards remember that Finland did not invade Irak/Afganistan, we were strongly opposed to that, actually. Except some scared right-wing politicians, of course.

Anyway, I think it's possible that some of my friends or even I myself will someday be killed by a terrorist. Still I refuse to have it affect my life in a negative way. Still I think that Finnish police shouldn't kill strange looking people who are running away from the local civil police. Luckily, for now, it seems like the panic has not reached this country.
But just in case, if you do visit Finland someday, I suggest you learn the following phrases:
"Poliisi! Kädet ylös!"
"Pysähdy tai ammun!"
"Oletteko terroristi?"
"Miksi juoksette karkuun?"
And if you do hear those strange words, do not run or the undercover policeman dressed as an civilian just might kill you as well.
