why do all the cell phone companies make you sign a contract prior to finding out how bad they suck

not all of them do now. they want you to be in a contract because its more $ for them & a hassle for you, but not all of them do that now anymore. Off the top of my head, I know Cingular wont make you sign a contract, you can go month-to-month or pre-paid etc.

my phone is a panasonic and im using at&t service and ive never ever ever had any problems with my phone or my service.

my 1st cell was a motorolla and yes they suck just as much as nokia :P
