It was absolutely stunning. Tomorrow it will have been a week from when I saw it and I could still weep. I expected it to be good--I've loved the story for, what, over a decade now--yet it was far better than I anticipated.

It was different, it was so different.

AAAHHHH MY ONLY REGRET IS NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AAHHH

(how are you, by the way? I'm so behind about everyone.)

Ugh, I could only imagine. I (finally) saw it on stage (with Anthony Warlow, who is amazing) for my 21st, man, and the moment the music started. Goosebumps. Goosebumps everywhere. I think seeing it on Broadway should officially be one of my life goals already.

It's really funny that you mention POTO, because I've been listening to the soundtrack again, and was contemplating tossing on the '04 version. Still need to re-read the book (been meaning to do that for a while now)- STAY OUT OF MY HEAD LOL.

And I'm good! Just busy. Haven't really been on LJ much, and it doesn't help that fandom things have died down (and that I've had the worst writer's block since forever [seriously, I haven't written anything decent since, uh, April or so])

Looks like you guys have been busy as hell also! NYC would have been brilliant.

I am googling up some Anthony Warlow AS SOON AS I GET INTO WORK TOMORROW.

Seeing it on Broadway was totally one of my life goals! It was really weird to have a moment to think, during the intermission: hey, this was a thing I wanted to do before I died! And here I am! whaaat.

But, yes, ugh--the moment the music starts, and the chandelier rises. My entire body tensed and did not let go until it was all over.

And aha BRAIN TWINS. I am trying to find fic. It is sad.

I ALSO DON'T OWN THE '04 VERSION, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. I'm trying to track it down to stream or rent and UGH, nothing yet, and I am slowly driving myself up a wall. Waaaant!

I don't even know the state of (current) fandom. I feel bad! Our collab was BRILLIANT, by the way, and I left so many things unfinished, but, ehh... Magneto is great and all, but...

(As far as Eriks go, I have favorites.)

OH AND BATMAN WAS GRAND AS WELL OBVIOUSLY I WILL FANGIRL ABOUT THAT AT SOME POINT

busy busy busy. What are we, adults?

Ahh, Phantom, I was absolutely obsessed with it when I was a teenager, saw it at the theatre twice - and I second that Anthony Warlow was BRILLIANT - Australian guy, not sure if he's ever performed it overseas. Haven't seen/listened to it in so long - I really should try the movie, never did see that, see if my love for it reignites!

...Ha, just remembered, being the crazy doll lady that I am, I of course expressed my love for it at the time by making tiny costumes from the stage show for all my dolls - kind of wish I'd kept them now. I had a Christine and a Meg and a whole bunch of chorus girls - I had no male dolls at the time so there was no Phantom though, sadly. Woe!
