I'd suggest New Orleans for haunted places, but a lot of it is just ghost tours telling you all the horrific things that happened in New Orleans, and the possible things you might come across if you just happen to be psychically inclined. Or (un?!)lucky. Personally I think I'd consider myself warned to get the fuck out of Louisiana if I was walking down the street where thousands and thousands of rotting Yellow Fever corpses were stacked up after a flood or something or maybe they were just bloating in the sun. I don't remember. But anyway you might walk down that street and have bloated, blackened faces pop up at you. Or just their smells, depending on what kind of mood they're in. Personally I didn't see/smell anything on that street. But I DID get horribly giddy when we were shown the house where Richard Simmons grew up. Because come on. SEQUINS. SIDE THIGH FLASHES. JEWFRO. We definitely have to visit New Awlins someday! This trip we're still sticking to the east coast though. :/ But I really want a gris gris bag from there! Get my hoodoo all on.

Nice! Do you like it? I haven't tried mine yet because I haven't been anywhere, but I chose it based on all the good reviews on Amazon.

Sure! It didn't even cross my mind that we can do that now. We've never done it though, so we might suck. I'm going to add geocaching to our road trip itinerary this summer too now, so thanks for the idea!
