I have to kvetch. My trip back home was slated to start yesterday with a 4 pm flight from DC to Atlanta. It's now 3:30 am Pacific time the next day and I'm just getting home from the airport. yes, the backseat of a car can be tricky. however, in my experience it's usually well worth the discomfort.

Unfortunately there was no hanky panky involved. I was really drunk and every available space in the party house was filled with fallen revellers, so I decided I'd try and sleep in the car. It was a bad idea and after a few hours of shivering, I had sobered up and just drove home.

How were your holidays?

Ah too bad.

I guess my holidays were good. At least I had a comfy bed. But a bit spent after a week in Buenos Aires and New Year's Eve fest in NYC. Hoping to get a little more grounded in 2006 and make something of myself before it is too late.

That sounds dreadful, as flying around the holidays often is, but I am just so glad we got to see you. For the future -- our guest room has a queen size bed, if you ever want it. I realize any self-respecting mom would kill a child for staying somewhere else when in town, but still.

I hope you have gotten some sleep by now. I have to have a root canal! That's a non-sequitor but seemed like a needed follow up to my whining this week. MOH and I are planning a big vacation in July to help out with our new neice/nephew and were thinking that since we would already have lots of time off and be halfway across the country this would be a good time to come the other half to see you. Hope that works out.

Root canal? Does this have to do with the gum problem you just had? Yikes. I had one, and it wasn't the worst thing. I'm sure they're doing them more painlessly these days.

If you guys want to come out here - anytime, ever - I would love to see you and there will always be space for you.
