I'm writing this down here purely for my own purposes, but please feel free to read if you so desire.
The first part of the dream that I can remember was that I was back working at Intensity Skates, and was handling a customer service issue. A father had come in with his son and wanted to return a pair of Merrell (sp?) shoes that he had bought in 1995 - 11 years ago - because they had a hole in them. After consulting with Mike Agnew, I informed the man that we wouldn't be able to take them back, and although I expected him to get angry, he accepted this decision with no problem.
The next thing that I remember was that I was at home, on Gumwood Drive, waking up in the morning and realizing that I needed to get to work at Intensity. I was in my old room and for some reason, my dad was in there, too. I was watching ESPN on TV and they were saying that Terry Porter (the former NBA player) had died during a game and that 17 of the Portland Trailblazers (the team he was playing for in this dream) had been arrested. Then they showed some footage and apparently there was some kind of electrified floor and in combination with some metal chairs, that was what killed him. They then showed a lot of basketball players on the ground with no shirts, handcuffed, and crying because their teammate had died, while the opposing team was still on the court doing something (throwing the ball in from out of bounds?) that signified officially ending the game.
I then realized that I was going to be late for work (in real life I often spend too much time watching ESPN or the Weather Channel and end up getting to work late), and for some reason I had to take a shower at the neighbor's house who I was potentially housesitting for? So I ran out of the house wearing just boxer shorts, and then realized that I should have more clothes on, so I ran back towards the house and dad came out and threw me a t-shirt. I ran next door, where we used to have a crazy old lady for a neighbor, who eventually died (real life). In the dream she was supposed to be gone (at the hospital?) and when I went in the house there were two bathrooms next to each other on the right side of a hall and then a door on the left side of the hall that was mostly closed. As I peered through the slightly open door, I saw that it was a bedroom and that there was someone in the bed, specifically the old lady who lived there, except that she was supposed to be gone. She looked gray and amporphous, and I got the idea that she was dead but was thinking to myself that the house should smell bad if there was a dead/decomposing body in there. I then remembered that in real life she had died, and asked her how she was still there and alive, even though she had died. I don't remember exactly what her response was, although she did say something to me and there was some type of explanation for how/why she was still there, even though she was dead.
